Restoration and Plating of Classic Car Parts

1) Inspection

This badly rusted, pitted, cracked and damaged classic Plymouth hubcap is part of a set of five we received to restore, polish, and chrome plate.
If necessary the part is stripped to bare metal, straightened and inspected for flaws, dents, and pitting. The part is sanded and detailed, ready to be copper plated.

2) Sanding & Repairs

At this time the flaws, pitting and cracks can be soldered or leaded, sanded back down smooth and another layer of copper is added.

3) Copper & Nickel Plating

Once all repairs are done to our satisfaction, the part is ready for a final polishing and sent to the plating line. Depending on the repairs that were made, we may copper and sand smooth your part more than once to hide the repairs.

4) Final Plating

The final polishing is done and the parts get nickel and chrome plated. They are moved to the quality inspection room where they are waxed and wrapped, ready for delivery.
